Dr. Tony Thomas, a native Texan, grew up in San Antonio before moving to Seattle. He earned his BS in Biochemistry from the University of Washington in 1998 and his DDS from New York University College of Dentistry in 2007. After completing a General Practice Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, he practiced in Greater NYC/Long Island for 15 years. In 2018, Dr. Thomas returned to San Antonio, joining Advanced Smile Care in 2019.

Trained in Conscious IV Sedation at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2014, Dr. Thomas specializes in treating patients with dental anxiety. His goal is to change negative perceptions of dentistry by providing a calm, comfortable environment. Dr. Thomas stays current with dental technology to enhance patient education and comfort, constantly investing time in learning and implementing new beneficial technologies.

Dr. Thomas constantly was expanding his dental knowledge with continuing education. He has taken numerous courses and workshops with the Spear Education group, CEREC Doctors and is Invisalign Certified. He is an active member in the San Antonio Academy of Clear Aligners Study Club, part of the C-Docs Mentor group. He is a member of the San Antonio District Dental Society, Texas AGD, and American Academy of Clear Aligners.

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and trying various cuisines. He is avid sports fan – with his teams being the Texas Longhorns, San Antonio Spurs and the Seattle Seahawks.
