Position: Associate Veterinarian

Location: Tecumseh, Michigan

Position Overview

A well-established Veterinary Hospital in Tecumseh, Michigan is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join their team. As the owners prepare for gradual retirement, this role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced veterinarian or a veterinarian interested in growing their surgical skills. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care and fostering strong patient relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wellness and sick exams, diagnose conditions, and prescribe treatments
• Perform surgeries and manage daily appointments
• Provide compassionate care, handling 20-24 patient encounters per day
• Collaborate with a team of 3 Veterinarians, 3 Veterinary Technicians, and 6 Veterinary Assistants/Receptionists

Schedule

• Monday to Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
• Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
• Every other Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Office Details

• 4 exam rooms and 1 large operating room for efficient, quality care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
• Proficiency or willingness to train in surgery
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent patient care
